March 20, 2017

The day is approaching for Quilt Til You Wilt! I wanted to send some details so you would know for sure what is happening.

Friday, March 24 -
2 P.M.  Doors will open at the Niobrara Senior Center, 611 E. 6th St, Lusk.  You can come any time after that, set up your sewing machine, and start sewing!
6:30 P.M.  We are planning a Pizza Party at 6:30 with pizza from The Pizza Place.  If you haven't had their pizza before, you are in for a treat! If you are familiar with their pizza, you know how delicious it is!
7 P.M. Show and Tell - Demos- New products.  We hope all of you will bring a project or projects to share with the rest of the group.  What have you been working on lately? Any new products you have found that you love?  Do you have something old to show and share?  Jane is going to demo how to bind a quilt by machine, as this seems to be something many want to see. Karen will be discussing how to put on borders so your quilt lies flat, as well as some things you can do to prepare your quilt for quilting. We have some new products to tell you about.

Sewing until 10 p.m.

Saturday March 25
Doors will be open from 8 a.m. thru 10 p.m. Jane will be present to assist those who need help and guidance with their projects during the day.
Saturday noon  Taco Soup with all the fixin's will be on the menu.
There will be snacks available throughout the day and evening. Sew until 10 p.m. if you like.

Sunday, March 26
We will discuss with everyone what time you would like to arrive on Sunday - and Karen will be there to open up at that time. Jane and Karen will not be there on Sunday morning, as we will be at church. We will come bringing Homemade Chicken Potpie for lunch around noon, and be there the afternoon. Plans are to finish up around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

What to Bring
Bring your sewing machine, projects and supplies, sewing notions (scissors, thread, needles, pins, seam ripper, rotary cutter, ruler, mat, etc.) Also bring an extension cord, as some of the sewing tables are not close to the outlets.  We will provide a couple of  irons and ironing boards to share.  We will have bottled water and snacks, but if you have any special dietary needs, you may want to bring what you need.

We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
Karen and Jane
