This wonderful bright grouping arrived from Free Spirit Fabrics this week. Named "Calico Horses," the collection has a horse theme with an interesting perspective - note the "overhead" view on some of the prints. If you love color and you love horses, this one is for you!
Table Topper Class June 18, 2020
Here is the beautiful project Jane is making for the Table Topper Class coming up on June 18 from 10 to 4:30. This is a great smaller project to learn or practice your paper piecing skills. Jane is making hers from the "Spirited" collection from Art Gallery Fabrics, but you can choose your own colors and fabrics. These classes are small and you will get plenty of personalized attention. Quilters Trek
Quilters Trek, the nation-wide and beyond shop hop, starts June 21. Here is our free pattern, called Star Bright. We also have kits for this 4-block row and they are available in the shop and online starting June 21. If you want to be sure to get a kit, you can pre-order it on the www.licketeystitchquilts.com website. Each kit will contain a surprise Wyoming or Golden Token while supplies last.
HAYSTACKS CLASS WITH MICHELE EVERTS
Michele Everts will be back at Lickety Stitch Quilts teaching the Judy Neimeyer HAYSTACKS quilt on July 11. This is a one-day class appropriate for beginner to advanced paper-piecing students. Learn the basics of Judy Neimeyer's techniques and create a beautiful quilt in the process. In addition, Michele is offering monthly Sit and Sew with Michele days for anyone who is working on a Judy quilt and wants some expert guidance beyond class. Call the shop for details.
Free Luxe Cuddle Throw Class
We are working on scheduling a FREE class in July with an expert educator from Shannon Fabrics on ZOOM who will guide us through making a Luxe Minky Cuddle throw. You can either attend in the shop here in Lusk ( bring your sewing machine and supplies) or you can attend the class at home by ZOOM. We will have kits available in various Luxe Cuddle fabrics, and with the purchase of the kit you get free access to the class! Once you have made one of these throws you are going to want to make many more. They make perfect gifts for any occasion and almost every person. I made around 16 of them this past winter for gifts for my family and friends. It would have been impossible to make quilts for them all - but these throws take a maximum of 2 hours each to make. Every recipient has told me how much they love to snuggle up in their throw and most get daily use. Send me an email or call the shop to get on the list to be notified of the class date when we get it established.
